Tegan Kline, co-founder of Edge & Node and one of the pioneers behind The Graph, expressed optimism about the future of the blockchain space and emphasized the importance of sticking to core values during the crypto winter. In an interview with Cointelegraph, Kline discussed the opportunities that arise during bear markets, referring to it as a “builder’s paradise.” She highlighted the need for further development in areas such as layer 2s, multichain aggregation, bridge technology, custody, and decentralized autonomous organizations.
Kline also mentioned the potential impact of blockchain on social media, stating that the emergence of Web3 social networks will be a game changer. She also predicted that decentralized exchanges will eventually surpass centralized exchanges in terms of trading volume.
When asked about advice for the blockchain community during the crypto winter, Kline emphasized the importance of perseverance and continued building. She pointed out that some of the most successful companies and technologies were born out of recessions.
Lastly, Kline predicted that the crypto winter will give rise to more resilient decentralized technologies. She urged the community to focus on self-custody, decentralization, and understanding counterparty risk.
