Ex-Disney CEO unveils Web3 gaming company featuring talent from Marvel and Star Wars.

A group of prominent figures from the entertainment industry in Hollywood and gaming have come together to establish a leading publisher of high-quality Web3 games in the United Arab Emirates.
Called Galactic Entertainment Publishing, this newly launched initiative is the first division of the parent company Galactic Group.
Their debut project, PlanetQuest, has been actively under development since 2022. Loren Roosendaal, the CEO of Galactic Entertainment and creator of PlanetQuest, informed Cointelegraph that despite the game not yet being released, it has already attracted a substantial user base.
Expertise in top-tier franchises
The team behind PlanetQuest consists of former employees from renowned companies such as Disney, Warner Bros., Activision-Blizzard, and Epic. They have individually contributed to a wide range of successful franchises, including popular films like The Batman, Avengers, and Blade Runner, as well as AAA games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor.
Jon McCoy, the chief creative officer of the company and a veteran of the AAA Hollywood film industry, expressed that his work with Galactic Group surpasses the experiences he had working on blockbuster movies.
PlanetQuest
The company’s initial release, PlanetQuest, is set in a world similar to that of Star Wars, with a vast array of assets that players can acquire and trade. Players will have the opportunity to own and trade everything from spaceships to entire planets as digital assets. These assets can be utilized for personal gameplay or sold and exchanged with other players for native currency.
Galactic has future plans to launch additional tie-in media for PlanetQuest, including novels, comic books, and another yet-to-be-revealed game, as reported by VentureBeat.
