Avail, a blockchain solution that focuses on unifying Web3, has announced strategic collaborations with five prominent layer-2 networks in order to enhance data availability and rollup unification. The new partners include Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, StarkWare, and zkSync. The aim of this collaboration is to develop more scalable and cost-efficient chains that can accommodate millions of users. Avail’s data availability layer will serve as the foundation for this unification architecture, providing mathematical guarantees of data availability and a built-in validator ecosystem. According to Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, a robust data availability layer is crucial for improving the developer experience. Insufficient data availability is a major obstacle to mainstream adoption and network scalability. Avail operates as an un-opinionated base layer that can support any blockchain. Eli Ben-Sasson, CEO of StarkWare, emphasizes the importance of solutions that optimize data and unify Web3 in order to create a seamless user experience. Lowering friction for developers and addressing scalability challenges have been key topics of discussion in the blockchain industry. Avail co-founder Anurag Arjun has emphasized the need for infrastructure that unifies rollups, and the recent collaborations with prominent layer-2 networks are a step towards achieving this goal. In addition, Avail recently conducted an airdrop of its native AVAIL tokens to users.
