Moving on, tech YouTuber Marques “MKBHD” Brownlee got the chance to test a 360-degree treadmill prototype that could bring the metaverse to life in a physical playground. The treadmill, called The Holotile, is a plastic mat consisting of numerous smaller pieces arranged in a geometric pattern. It allows users to move objects in a way reminiscent of characters from Star Wars, creating an immersive metaverse experience.
Lastly, Manchester City Football Club has entered into a multiyear partnership with Quidd, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, to release digital collectibles. These “special edition” collectibles will enable fans to unlock real-world experiences with the football club. The first product to be launched will be 200 digital player cards available on May 2.
