According to insiders, tech giant Apple is currently in the final stages of negotiating a contract with OpenAI to incorporate ChatGPT features into the iPhone. If successful, these features will be included in the upcoming iOS 18 software update, as reported by Bloomberg on May 11. Apple is also reportedly in talks with Alphabet, Google’s parent company, regarding the integration of the Gemini chatbot, although these discussions are said to be less advanced than those with Apple.
It remains unclear whether users will have the option to disable these features as part of the new operating system. Just a year ago, there were rumors that Apple had restricted the use of ChatGPT within the company due to concerns about the potential compromise of sensitive data. However, recent reports indicate that Apple is now intensifying its efforts to establish its own AI division. In fact, Apple has been recruiting experts from Google to build a team of AI and machine learning specialists. Additionally, Apple has acquired two local AI startups in Zurich, Switzerland, and established a secretive laboratory called “Vision Lab.”
During Apple’s keynote presentation on May 11, the company mentioned Octane, a 3D design software powered by the Render Network, while showcasing its latest iPad with the M4 chip. This mention caused a notable 11% increase in the value of Render Token (RNDR). Among the top 10 AI tokens, RNDR has experienced the highest growth in the past 7 days, rising by 18%. In comparison, Fetch.ai (FET) has seen a decrease of 0.77%, and SingularityNET (AGIX) has experienced a decrease of 0.15% over the same period, according to CoinMarketCap data.
