Binance executive’s spouse urges provision of medical assistance to incarcerated husband

Yuki Gambaryan, the wife of Tigran Gambaryan, a detained official from Binance, has made a plea to Nigerian authorities to ensure her husband receives the necessary medical care. Despite a court order for his transfer to a hospital, Gambaryan remains in Kuje prison. Mrs. Gambaryan has also called on the American government to assist in securing her husband’s release. Last week, Gambaryan collapsed in court during a hearing for a money laundering charge. His lawyer has expressed concerns about his health, citing a throat infection and inadequate medical facilities at the prison. Gambaryan’s illness comes after his arrest in Nigeria earlier this year on charges of money laundering and tax evasion. The Nigerian government has been cracking down on cryptocurrencies, leading to Binance blocking its website for Nigerian users and exiting the market.
