SingularityNET has officially announced the confirmed dates for the merger of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI) token with its native AGIX token. This represents a significant milestone in bringing together the fetch.ai (FET), AGIX, and Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) communities.
The merger, which aims to unite the three communities under one decentralized artificial intelligence (AI) network, will commence on June 11. As part of the merger, the FET token will be rebranded as ASI, with the process expected to be completed by June 13.
For holders of FET, AGIX, and OCEAN tokens, the merger will involve converting these tokens into ASI tokens at specific conversion rates. The conversion ratio will be 1:1 for FET tokens, 1:0.433350 for AGIX tokens, and 1:0.433226 for OCEAN tokens.
The migration process will take place on SingularityNET’s decentralized AI platform, providing users with a secure and audited token migration contract. ERC-20 tokens will be available on June 11 for users to swap FET for ASI tokens, followed by AGIX and OCEAN on June 13.
The ASI merger aims to establish the largest open-sourced decentralized network in the AI industry, catering to over 200,000 tokenholders.
In line with the goal of promoting the safe integration of AI into everyday life, OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, has recently launched an initiative to expand its services in the education sector. ChatGPT Edu, an AI language model designed for university use, offers educational institutions access to enterprise-level security and controls. Prominent universities such as the University of Oxford, the Wharton School, the University of Texas at Austin, Arizona State University, and Columbia University have already adopted this tool and service.
