MultiversX, a distributed blockchain network, has recently unveiled a groundbreaking blockchain education program in collaboration with Cornell University’s eCornell.
This innovative initiative, known as the Blockchain Essentials Program, aims to provide 100 underprivileged college students with a two-month educational experience. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate.
According to a statement from MultiversX, the program is fully sponsored, meaning that students will not have to pay any fees to participate. The regular cost of the course is listed as $3,750 on the initiative’s website.
The program will be conducted online through private cohorts, ensuring a personalized and supportive learning environment through small, instructor-led groups.
One of the most exciting aspects of the program, as highlighted in the press release, is the opportunity for students to receive mentorship, support, and funding from MultiversX upon completion. This will enable them to develop blockchain projects that can positively impact their communities.
Scheduled to commence on July 17, 2024, the program is currently accepting applications until June 23, 2024. Eligible applicants must be current college students who are proficient in English and come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Only 100 students will be chosen to participate.
Beniamin Mincu, the CEO of MultiversX, expressed his enthusiasm for the program in a recent statement.
In other news, MultiversX has unveiled “Sovereign Chains,” a cutting-edge multichain, modular, integrated stack for blockchain development. This revolutionary system has the potential to significantly increase transaction throughput on existing layer-2 blockchain networks, boosting transactions per second (TPS) and smart contract TPS by up to 100 times.
During its initial demonstration, Sovereign Chains achieved an impressive throughput of 77,000 TPS. MultiversX is actively working to increase this number to 100,000.
As a final note, Ari Juels recently published a thrilling crypto novel titled “Murder by (smart) contract,” adding to the excitement surrounding blockchain technology and its applications.
