Adsgram, a novel tool for traffic monetization, is set to debut on the Telegram messenger. This platform allows developers to earn Toncoin (TON) by incorporating advertisements into their mini-applications.
The TON Community has officially introduced Adsgram as a third-party platform on Telegram. Its purpose is to enable developers to connect their mini-apps, also known as bots, to an advertising system and generate revenue by displaying ads. It is important to note that Adsgram is distinct from the Telegram Ads platform, which is an official ad platform specifically for channel owners and was launched in March.
Adsgram offers a range of ad formats, including 15-second video ads, static banners, and the soon-to-be-released feature of channel subscriptions. The platform’s ad system supports basic payment models such as cost per thousand impressions (CPM) and cost per mille. Additionally, it tracks metrics like click-through rate, conversions, and fill rate.
Developers of TON mini-apps can earn up to $16 CPM in Toncoin. As per a presentation shared on Adsgram’s official channel, the platform’s network already boasts up to 8 million impressions per day as of May 2024. During its launch, the network features mini-apps like Gamee and Fonton Fantasy Football, with the majority of traffic originating from countries like Nigeria, Bangladesh, Germany, among others.
Adsgram’s advertisers include “several tier-1 exchanges,” TON-based games and services, as well as gambling from TON and non-TON sources. Depending on the audience, developers can expect CPMs ranging from 0.5 TON ($3.8) to 2 TON ($16).
Adsgram aims to enhance monetization in the GameFi sector on Telegram and within the TON ecosystem. Co-founder Vadim Sterlin explained that the platform addresses the challenge of monetizing games in the Telegram ecosystem. Sterlin, who also founded Fantongamebot, emphasized that there was previously no way for publishers to earn money through advertising rather than direct ad sales.
The official launch of Adsgram follows the platform’s receipt of a $50,000 grant from the TON Foundation to develop its minimum viable product. In early April, Adsgram initiated its first ads through an alpha test with Fanton Fantasy Football.
Adsgram’s launch coincides with a significant surge in activity within the TON ecosystem. The total value locked in various TON projects has grown by at least 4,500% in 2024. Furthermore, the native cryptocurrency of TON, Toncoin, has been reaching new highs in recent months, with a peak of $8.17 on June 14, according to CoinGecko data.
