Federal authorities put an end to extravagant lifestyle of Bitcoin criminals thriving on 230M cryptocurrency fraud

Two individuals have been apprehended and charged by US federal agents for stealing a staggering $230 million worth of Bitcoin from a Washington, D.C. resident who is believed to be a creditor of Genesis. The arrests and charges were announced by the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia on September 19. The two men, Malone Lam and Jeandiel Serrano, allegedly conspired to steal and launder over 4,100 Bitcoin from the victim using various online aliases and sophisticated methods.
