The Spanish embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s official social media account has raised suspicions after engaging with various crypto projects to inquire about airdrops and upgrades. In a now-deleted response to a post from the WEN memecoin page, the embassy’s account asked, “Wen Jupiter Snapshot?” Additionally, the embassy contacted the gaming blockchain network Beam for information about its launchpad, and even questioned Hex founder Richard Heart about the promised Pulsechain launchpad. Initially, the embassy’s account sent a total of 41 crypto-related comments to different projects, but many have since been deleted. At the time of publication, 20 responses remained visible on the embassy’s account. While it remains uncertain whether the account was hacked, other prominent figures have experienced similar attacks on their social media accounts, including the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. The Spanish embassy has not confirmed any security breach, and Cointelegraph’s attempts to reach them for comment have been unsuccessful.
