OKX Embraces Bitcoin-Based NFTs, Defends Bitcoin Ordinals
OKX, the cryptocurrency exchange, has made a bold move by announcing its support for Bitcoin-based nonfungible tokens (NFTs). The exchange is doubling down on this technology by including Atomicals and Runes in its marketplace. Additionally, OKX will also support Doginals, which are Ordinals on the Dogecoin network. While some critics argue that Bitcoin Ordinals are spam, OKX’s executive, Lau, disagrees. Lau believes that in permissionless networks like Bitcoin, all transactions are valid as long as they pay fees and adhere to consensus rules. According to Lau, “there is no such thing as spam” in open networks like BTC.
Bitwise ETF Wallet Receives Tips and Donations
Bitwise, the asset manager, made its spot Bitcoin (BTC) ETF wallet address public to allow the public to verify the ETF’s holdings and flows directly on the blockchain. Since its release, the wallet has received numerous tips and donations from the crypto community. Within hours, over 16,000 inscriptions, worth approximately $6,000, were made. These inscriptions included two RSIC airdrops, a Bitcoin Punk, a Bitcoin Burials, and more.

Ronaldo played football with several NFT holders and provided them with tips to improve their game. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the popular 90s first-person shooter video game Doom, a developer inscribed the free version of the game on the Dogecoin network using the Ordinals protocol. This allows anyone to play the game on mobile devices and computers directly from the blockchain. The developer, known as Mini Doge, successfully integrated the game into Dogecoin, bringing nostalgia to fans of the iconic game.
OpenSea Considers Acquisition Opportunities
NFT marketplace OpenSea is reportedly open to the possibility of being acquired. While the company currently has no plans for acquisition, CEO Devin Finzer stated that they would consider the right partnership if it arises.
