Bitcoin-based nonfungible tokens (NFTs) have made a comeback in weekly sales, surpassing Ethereum NFTs in terms of volume. The NodeMonkes collection led the spike in sales, resulting in $169.5 million in volume, an 80% increase compared to the previous week. In contrast, Ethereum recorded $162 million in NFT sales during the same period.
Uncategorized Ordinals, which are NFTs that do not belong to any collections, had the highest sales with $43 million in volume across 47,000 transactions. The NodeMonkes collection followed closely behind with $41 million in sales volume.
In a fortunate turn of events, a Bitcoin Ordinals trader was able to recover their Bitcoin after accidentally purchasing an NFT worth $13,000. The trader shared their story as a reminder for others to double-check their transactions. However, the original owner of the NFT saw the post and offered to repurchase it. Dan Anderson, the seller, agreed to buy back the asset at the original sale price of 0.21 BTC.
Coachella, the popular arts and music festival, has partnered with OpenSea to launch NFTs with unique utilities during the event. The festival announced that its 2024 edition will feature three NFT collections that will serve as passes to exclusive experiences and merchandise. These NFTs will be hosted on the Avalanche network and will be released in three drops, combining Coachella’s artwork with additional benefits for holders.

They emphasized their focus on empowering creators to develop new content experiences.
A rare alien-like CryptoPunk known as #3100 has been sold for $16 million worth of Ethereum. This particular CryptoPunk is highly valued due to its rarity; it is one of only 10,000 in the collection, with just nine Alien CryptoPunks ever minted.
