The Ethereum Foundation website has recently undergone modifications that erased any indication of the foundation being subject to a confidential investigation. The alteration, which took place on February 26 as per GitHub records, was implemented by Pablo Pettinari, a freelance Ethereum front-end developer. The removed text stated:
Pettinari clarified in the GitHub description, “This commit eliminates a portion of the footer due to a voluntary inquiry from a state authority, which necessitated confidentiality.”
Additionally, a yellow canary logo was also taken down.
Cointelegraph reached out to the Ethereum Foundation for comment on the website changes, but no immediate response was received.
This story is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as new information emerges.
